AlieNation: Racism, Injustice and Other Obstacles to Full Citizenship

This study challenges theories suggesting that the alienation of second-generation immigrants to Canada is a product of settlement and integration processes. It offers an alternative theory stating that the racism experienced by both immigrant and native-born Canadians is the principal cause of alienation.

New Start for Youth Study: An Examination of the Settlement Pathways of Newcomer Youth

With financial support from the Department of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, CISSA/ACSEI launched this study as part of Phase II of a pan-Canadian project to help inform agencies across Canada on the challenges that immigrant and refugee youth have experienced and the coping strategies that they have used to deal with their settlement and adjustment process.
